This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join one of Europe's largest manufacturers in their field.

The role, which is based in Telford, offers an attractive salary of up to £25,000.

The role requires a Quality Engineer to join the Quality Assurance Department and support the aim of the Department, in managing internal and external requirements to ensure delivered product meets customer requirements.

The suitable candidate must have the following skills and be able to demonstrate their application within previous job roles:

Work with the Technical Department to produce written procedures; standard operating instructions, operator maintenance plans, visual aids and alike. Update and maintain the company's document control system.


Conduct regular internal audits in line with the requirements of the company's Quality Management System.


Investigating customer complaints, acting as a focal during the investigation process.

Root cause analysis and effective implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

Produce detailed corrective action reports in a variety of formats (for example 8D) dependant on the customer's requirements.


Aid with the maintenance of the company's calibration system including physical calibration of measuring devices and arranging for external calibration where required.


Present quality related statistical and trend analysis to help focus internal improvement activity.

Work will all functions within the business supporting continuous improvement activity, implementing improvement tools and techniques to reduce quality costs, scrap levels, improve the capability of processes. Promote preventative actions to support manufacture; ensuring best practice and efficiency are maintained throughout the company.

In addition, it would be beneficial to have:

*Degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline
*Good experience in a QA based role
*Good understanding of ISO 9001
*Trained and Experienced Internal Auditor
*Experience of ISO 14001 environmental issues

The role of the Quality Engineer will require someone who will be an integral part of a small team and will be willing to work pro actively and flexibly in order to ensure the compliance of procedures and processes.
