A New Business Development Manager is required in the Birmingham area, offering a salary of £25,000 to £32,000 per annum with OTE of £60k p.a.

This UK based company is an independent supplier of IT hardware and software. From the company's head office in Birmingham, West Midlands a dedicated team of account managers service an extensive portfolio of corporate, public sector and education clients throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager who has ambition, drive and motivation to succeed. You should show tenacity and be able to work well under pressure.

Main Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage professional, strategic and productive business relationships with face to face meetings and telephone conversations.
- An awareness of all potential business and any issues that may effect the overall sales and profitability.
- Proactive cold calling to generate a significant number of appointments.
- Build and develop account profiles for all accounts, giving all relevant account information and quarterly plans.
- Provide regular, accurate forecasts of pipeline business to the Sales Manager.
- Regular achievement of all New Business targets and KPI's.
- Proactively inform customer base of all market and vendor information to include new products & services, price changes and promotions.
- Establish close business relationships with the customer at all levels/ departments.
- Work closely with internal sales people to develop account relationships.
- Ensure product knowledge is upto date.

Skills Required:

- Previous track record in New Business sales.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good grammatical and numerical skills.
- IT knowledge would be a preference.
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel and mail packages.
- Experience of managing people.

Other Qualities:

- You must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
- Hold a Degree or equivalent.
